With thousands of underage young people finding themselves without day-to-day parental supervision, September, and the start of a new college year, is a good time for us to deliver some important lessons regarding the need to “card”.
Common sense tells us it is also a good time for the PSP to step up enforcement, either using young people as a potential buyer or carding customers as they leave state stores and distributorships.
Checking IDs, of course, is a 365-day a year job. Now is a good time for us to remind our employees how important it is.
This month’s Observer indicates that Giant Eagle, Inc., Carnegie, was cited for an underage sale. If one looks through the entire list of citations reported, their fine — $700 – was about half of what was levied on other licensees.
